final tests, evaluation of written assignments and oral presentations
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Improving communication skills and proper using of related grammar structures. Reading and listening with comprtehension, speaking and writing in proper registers (e.g. C.V., covering letter, description of tools) Practicing translation of technical texts, with special regard to the lexical characteristics of technical texts.
Course contents:
Working with chosen general and technical texts and practicing related grammar:` passive voice and gerund, complex tenses, subjunctive mood. Developing speaking, writing and listening skills. Translation of technical texts. Lexical characteristics of technical texts: derivation, composition, collocations. Reading measuring units, mathematical expressions, geometric shapes.
