written tests 50 points, evaluation during the semester, oral presentations of the projects
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To be able to communicate in English within the field of study of mechanical engineering, as well as general technical English. Fluency in speaking, rellevant grammar (morphology and syntax) and lexical means. Choice of adecuate registers. Acquiring business English skills.
Course contents:
Reading with comprehension, writing abstracts, key words, presentation techniques. Improving business English skills: writing c.v., covering letters, advertisements, instructions for use, description of processes and procedures. Translating technical texts - topics according to the particular study fields.
