Assesment methods:
The sum of points for the tests is 35. Students will succesfully pass the tests if they earn at least 35 points. Students will get credits for the course if they succesfully pass both, the written tests and the oral exam. Students are graded as follows:
A 100 - 91 points, B 90 - 81 points, C 80 - 71 points, D 70 -61 points, E 50 - 60 points
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The goal is to obtain knowledge of theory and experiment applied to the practical measurement of mechanical quantities, mechanical stress, acceleration, and so on. That occur in engineering practice. To teach students the method of experiment planning and evaluation of experimental data and how to prepare measuring chains
Course contents:
The main stages of the experimental tasks, the formulation of experimental tasks, reducing the number of input variables - similarity theory. The plan of the experiment, factorial experiment, reduced scheme, sequence and extremal experiment. Doing the experiment, measuring string.Measurement of kinematic and force variables. Evaluation of experimental data. Verification of the homogeneity of a set of subsets,empirical verification of compliance with the distribution model. Error variables for the calculation of other measured variables. Screening values.
