Course unit title: Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping

Prerequisites for registration: none
Assesment methods:
During Semester students work on project, which can be evaluated on the end of semester by maximal 20 points. To pass the practice is necessary to obtain at least 10 points.
Exam, consisting of written and oral part is rated a maximum of 30 points. On successful completion of the exam should be obtained at least 18 points.
Students will get credits for the subject if they successfully complete the written tests and exam. Evaluation is done as follows: A 46-50 points B 41-45 points C 37-40 points 32-36 points D, E 31-28 points.

Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will obtain knowledge about reverse engineering and rapid prototyping systems. Student will obtain information about the structure and function of the equipment that is used in reverse engineering and rapid prototyping systems. Will be able to recognize and compare the technology in this field and use them in practice.
Student will become practically familiar with the control and maintainance of devices used for rapid prototyping and reverse engineering. Student will be able to work with these devices independently.
Course contents:
-Definitions of basic concepts and introduction to the subject;
-Review and dividing the basic technology of Rapid prototyping systems;
-Review and dividing reverse engineering systems;
-Rapid Prototyping techniques based on solid materials;
-Rapid Prototyping techniques based on liquid materials;
-Rapid Prototyping techniques based on powders;
-Optical and laser devices for reverse engineering;
-Software equipment for reverse engineering;
