Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students completing the course will gain knowledge of the socio - economic statistics as well as the organization of state statistical service. The student will obtain the ability of practical application of statistical methods, including computer processing.
Course contents:
National statistics, classification, Indicators.
Population statistics, families and households.
Economic activity, statistics on wages and labor costs.
Manufacturing and service statistics. Price statistics.
Banking statistics.
Government sector statistics.

Indexing analysis.
Indexing analysis - individual indices, aggregate indices.
Demographic statistics, family and household statistics, number of inhabitants , mechanical and natural changes of population, analytic demographic indicators.
Economic activity statistics, employment and unemployment.
Statistics on wages and labor costs, wage survey, wage analysis.
Statistics of production and services, sectoral indicators of production, industrial production, agricultural production, construction, services, foreign trade and balance of payments.
Price statistics, price indices, inflation measurement, statistical deflation, comparison of price indices.
Banking statistics.
