Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject provides information and knowledge of the corporate real estate asset market and support for firms, transforming of the workplaces,innovative trends in the property management. Students learn to understand the functioning of the real estate market, to recognize the individual factors and risks affecting the real estate market. These findings improve the knowledge base for the student that is essential to work for an investor or real estate organizations, in banks, in developer companies as well as in state and local government.
Course contents:
Introduction to Real Estate and real estate business (services provided by the real estate industry). Corporate real estate asset management - CREAM.
Dividing of real estate and the characteristic of real estate market, factors are affecting supply and demand for real estate properties. The classification of office buildings - standards. Case studies.
Functioning of the real estate market . Cyclical phenomena of the real estate market.
Exploration (analysis) on the real estate market . Objective of the survey and its users.
Theory and practice of consultancy real estate companies when renting premises for business (advice for landlord and tenant, types of representation of client).
Sustainable property development - green certificates ( LEED , BREEAM , DGNB ), measurability of sustainability, implementation in practice, green leases.
Methods of promoting resettlement, processes and factors for proper relocation company.
Case Studies - changes in working environments, relocation companies, green building.
Investing in Real Estate - An Overview, investment vehicles, real estate funds.
