Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student acquires acknowledges in theory of micro-economy and practical skills and it usage by the managing and leading of companies and project in the space of building industry.
Course contents:
Theoretical and methodical basis of micro-economy.
Demand: Individual and market demand. Changes in demand. The elasticity of demand. Marginal and total utility. Consumer surplus.
Supply: Elasticity of supply. Fixed, variable total, marginal cost. The short and long run. The shutdown decision.
Monopoly: How the monopolist's profits are calculated. Economies of scale and natural monopoly.
Perfect competition. Equilibrium of company in a space of perfect competition.
Theory of factors of production. Production function. Isoquants and isocosts.
