Student receives credits for the subject after passing the exam. In order to successfully complete the exam, it is necessary to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the area referred to in brief syllabus with emphasis on the dissertation topic.

Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will learn the latest scientific findings from the selected area within the field of study Applied Informatics, which includes an open scientific issue that is the subject of a thesis.

• Juhás: Petri nets and their extensions
• Grošek: Algebra for Cryptography
• Drozda: Modeling, simulation and performance analysis of wireless networks.
• Nemoga: Secure group communication protocols
• Oravec: Theory and methodology of machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Šrámka: Anonymous communication
• Vojvoda: Theory and methodology of cryptanalysis of stream ciphers
• Zajac: Principles of cryptography engineering

Recommended or required reading:
Učebnice a monografie, časopisy a iné zdroje, ktorých výber je konzultovaný s vyučujúcim.
