Handing in a report on current scientific article dealing with one of the methods included within the course.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will be familiar with a selection of theoretical and experimental methods for studying material properties and will be able to understand and express his/her views on a scientific articles using these methods.
Course contents:
Thermodynamical description of equilibrium phases of materials, Born-Oppenheimer approximation,
methods for calculation of atomic and electronic structure of molecules, nanostructures and
condensed matter, methods of calculation and measurement of optical properties of materials, methods for calculation of transport properties of materials.
