Assesment methods:
Individual project working out, consecutive assessment of partial study results, final assessment consisting of the individual project evaluation and the oral exam.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The main goal is the knowledge extension in the area of mechatronics and mechatronic systems coupled with the dissertation work content: the applied mechanics and mechatronics, the computational modeling and simulations, the electronics, the information and communication and control systems, the advanced methods of automation control, the microcomputers and PLC systems, the e-mobility, the biomechatronic systems, the autonomous motion and transmissions systems. A component part of the subject is a study of chosen problems of Mathematics.
 
Course contents:
Field of the applied mechanics and mechatronics, modeling and simulations:
Modeling of mechanical and Mechatronic systems by FEM. Analysis and synthesis of dynamic systems. Bio-, micro- and nano-mechanics and mechatronics.

Field of information, communication and control systems:
Dynamic and static models of the Mechatronic systems. Smart structures, methods and algorithms of control of the Mechatronic systems. Fuzzy and neural networks systems for modeling and control of the mechatronic systems. Information and communication technologies for the mechatronic systems.

Field of applied electronics, microcomputers, sensors and actuators:
Microprocessor and microcomputer systems for mechatronics. Smart sensors and actuators. Methods and algorithms for the signals processing and visualization.

Field of electromobility, automation and transmission systems:
Smart Mechatronic systems for automobiles and electromobiles. Non conventional tractions for mechatronic systems. Mechatronic systems of automobile and electromobile chassis, Structures, methods and algorithms of motion control of the Mechatronic systems. Autonomus Mechatronic systems. Telematics. Biomechatronic systems.

Field of chosen parts of mathematics for mechatronics:
Functional analysis. Differential equations (ordinary and partial). Probability and statistics. Mathematical logic. Tools of artificial intelligence. Numerical methods.

Notes:
The final exam is defended in the presence of a commission. The responsible person is a garant ot the study programme.
