Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire deep knowledge in the field of methods and principles, which form the theoretical basis of the measurement. They will be able to obtain analytical and critical approach to the tasks in the field of metrology, measurement models, analysis of errors and measurement uncertainties, correction of measurement errors. They also gain knowledge enabling to evaluate correctly and to interpret the measurement results.
Course contents:
Fundamentals of metrology, reference standards.
Metrological characteristics of measuring instruments, calibration and diagnostic of instruments.
Uncertainty of direct and indirect measurement.
Models and methods of measurement.
Statistical analysis and processing of measurement results.
Correction methods of static and dynamic measurement errors.
