Final evaluation of the student is determined by the total number of acquired points and the assignment of the mark to the acquired points is given by the actual Study Rules.
|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|The deep and detail understanding of physical principles of electroimagnetic field theory
based on Maxwell equations (ME) and their creative application at solution of real tasks in research and praxis. To cope with analytical and numerical methods of the ME solution for a given boundary conditions with the results describing the interactions of the various types of matter or defined elecromechanical systems with the source electromagnetic field. The application of the acquired knowledge in the real problem solution in the field of aplied magnetism, metalic and dielectric planar or optical fiber waveguides and so on.
|ME for vacuum and for the matter space with linear, nonlinear, dispersive and anisotropic properties. Analytical solution of the ME using wave equations for the field vectors and using the electrodynamical potentials. Description and analysis of the electromagnetic waves propagation in waveguides - in rectangular metalic waveguide, in dielectric planar or fiber waveguide. Classification, description and analysis of the numerical methods for the solution of the boundary problems in electromagnetic field. The method of finite difference in time-domain (FDTD), finite element method (FEM). Speciac cases of the knowledge applications in the field of applied magnetism and fiber optics.
