Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student acquires knowledge about basic concepts of social policy. Understands the interconnectedness of social policy with the labour market economy and has knowledge of the functioning of social partnership, collective bargaining and the structure of collective agreements. Student knows the system of social insurance, social assistance and social support and is able to apply the gained knowledge in the area of personnel work in an industrial enterprise.
Course contents:
The history, theoretical background and practical realisation of welfare state, types and characteristics of social states. Social policy in the EU, living minimum in the social policy system (legal definition, methods of determining the subsistence minimum, the impact of the minimum subsistence on work activity, social groups). The impact of state social policy regulation on enterprises. Social security (social security structure, pension provision, sickness insurance)
Social policy of the enterprise – nature, objectives and objectives of corporate social policy, scope of enterprise social policy, social policy as a motivation tool for employees, voluntary employee care, social enterprise policy making. Corporate social program – definition, fundaments, content and examples of the social program, creation of a social program. Social Fund as the basic tool of the social program of the plant. Legal Framework for Social Funding. Redistribution of the Social Fund. Collaboration of employee representatives and employers in distribution and management social fund. Examples of drawing on the Social Fund. Collective bargaining and collective bargaining. Social partnership and social bargaining, their legal anchoring. The relationship of government, trade unions and employers in the field of social policy.
