Assesment methods:
Student participation in laboratory exercises is mandatory, with a maximum of three excuse absence. Confirmation excused absence is replaced by the solution of assigned tasks and preparing a written report from the topic of the laboratory exercises . The student must prepare and submit reports of all laboratory exercises completed . Failing these conditions the interim evaluation of the student's 0 % no matter how many percent gained from interim control work for the uploaded logs and activity. Head teacher has the right not to admit the unprepared student to measure and has the right to return unsatisfactory protocol for reprocessing. In the 6th and 12 week semester, students take control written works , and from each can earn a maximum of 10 % . A student may receive a total of more than 10% uploaded and protocols for the preparation of laboratory exercises and more than 10% activity during the semester . During the semester, the student can thus obtain maximum continuous rating of 40 % .
A student may receive a final evaluation maximum of 60 % on that date of the written examination , the examiner takes into account the number of absences at lectures ( - 2 % per absence ) .
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will gain knowledge of the use knowledge about electricity and magnetism in the technical practice. Lectures give the student knowledge of fundamentals of electrical engineering, semiconductor electronics, electrical measurements and student gains knowledge about the used materials and components. Laboratory sessions give the student skills in involving electrical circuits, in the electrical measurements and in the interpretation of measurement results. Also student obtaine work habits consistent with safety and health at work. After completion of the course the student is able to
- Analyze DC and AC single-phase and three-phase circuits,
- Describe the structure, principle of operation and operating conditions of transformers,
- Apply the principles of electrical measuring instruments and electrical measurements,
- Describe the structure of components and working principle of modern semiconductor devices.
