Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To gain the basic knowledge about methods and applications of gene engineering of eukaryotic microorganisms, plants and animals. Study of gene expression regulation and production of recombinant proteins
Course contents:
Characterization of gene engineering. Properties, construction and application of special vector systems. Production of recombinant proteins. Transcription of cloning gene and regulation of gene expression. Genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic. Gene engineering of plants and animals. Application of gene engineering in agriculture, pharmacy and medicine. Genetically modified organisms.
