Assesment methods:
Successful completion of 6 of laboratory exercises and handing the protocols 30 points. The written examination consisting of test (30 possible points) and written questions (40 possible points). The minimum number points to gain evaluation of A is 92, B is the evaluation of 83 C 74 D 65 E 56
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will become familiar with basic standards and regulations for safe work on electrical equipment. Profit thus vocational eligibility for the activities on selected technical electrical equipment at the level § 20 (informed worker) MPSVaR Decree Nr. 508/2009 Z.z. as amended. Passing subject student also obtains the security guards for work on electrical equipment in the laboratories of the school as required by the Act of the National Council Nr. 124/2006 Z.z. and the Decree. MPSVaR Nr. 508/2009 Coll, for a period of 5 years from the completion of the test.
Course contents:
The basic principles of OSH, the selected the legislation. Technical standardization and its importance with regard work safety. The effects of electricity on the human body. First aid in case electrical shock. Labeling in electrical engineering. Activities on selected technical electrical equipment and professional capacity of electrical engineers. Basic use and work on electrical installations. Requirements for protective conductors. Environmental influences on electrical devices. Ensuring the safety of electrical installations for buildings and protection against electric shock. Current carrying capacity of cables and wires in electrical installations. Earthing system. Protection of persons of electrical and electronic devices against the effects of of static electricity. Protection of persons of electrical and electronic devices before against lightning and overvoltages. Fundamentals of fire protection.
