Title of the thesis:The stress-strain analysis of the road bridge
Summary:This bachelor thesis is based on road stress-strain analysis of Sydney Harbor bridge. Stress-strain analysis is an essential approach to determine the forces exposed by the materials and structures. Moreover, Stress analysis is a key element to determine the reasons of physical failures for the maintenance of structure. The first chapter holds the general information about the type of bridges and the fundamental features of Sydney Harbor bridge. The following chapters are dedicated to the theoretical framework of finite Element methods and basic finite elements such as beam, shell and link elements. The last chapter of thesis builds a practical basis of finite element model of Sydney Harbor bridge. The practical work includes the creation of finite element model of the bridge from basic elements, key points, link model to finite element model. After the completion of bridge model, static structural analysis was performed on the bridge structure to measure displacement of elements in Y-direction, vector of sum and stress distribution.
