Title of the thesis:Data visualization and interaction in augmented reality
Summary:This thesis is dedicated to address the issue of data visualisation and interaction in the environment of augmented reality. At the begining it provides a brief overview of the data visualisation methods and interaction with visualisation. Next it describes methods of virtual objects visualization in augmented reality, categorisation of augmented reality based on the devices used to create it, principes of creation of augmented reality environment and scene reconstruction including the approaches to the feature extraction. This thesis also takes a look at the interaction methods used in augmented reality and comparision with methods of virtual reality. Besides analysis, thesis will also describe own solutions of problems from the dedicated research field, mostly focused on data visualisation, interaction methods and user manipulation with virtual objects. Knowing, that the selection is the first step to the direct interaction, we have designed several node selection methods for augmented reality. Finally we compared achieved results.
