Title of the thesis:TRANSMISSION OF LOW-FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS AND ITS IMPACT ON CONSTRUCTION BUILDINGS AND HUMAN BEINGS
Summary:Current problems with low frequency noise and vibrations are commonly recognized. People and buildings exposed to long term low frequency noise and vibrations are seriously affected. This report is evaluating a specific problem that had been recognized and the sufferer's showed signs of long term low frequency noise exposure. The purpose of this work is to find the source that is had been causing low frequency noise and to eliminate the transition via recommendations. The goal was to find out possible sources of low frequency noise, then to measure them. As possible sources, the district heating substation, and utility pipelines in basement, were recognized. Next, the sound and vibrations were measured and analyzed. In some cases a modal analysis followed to reveal eigenmodes of inspected subjects. Analyzing the measured results, the source that had been emitting low frequency noise was revealed and suitable recommendations were offered to solve given problem at all.
