Title of the thesis:	Registrácia ionizujúceho žiarenia SiC detektorom
Summary:	Cieľom tejto práce bolo zoznámiť sa s SiC (karbidom kremíka) ako novým atraktívnym materiálom pre detekciu žiarenia. Tento polovodič má vynikajúce fyzikálne vlastnosti, čo je dôvodom, prečo by sa mohol používať aj pri vyšších teplotách a v silnejších elektrických poliach ako iné polovodičové detektory. V práci je možné nájsť fyzikálne vlastnosti SiC, ale aj nedostatky materiálu ako mikrotrhlinky, ktoré môžu mať vplyv na výkon SiC zariadení, pretože v silnom elektrickom poli je veľká šanca prierazu následkom čoho vzniká plazma. Ďalej sa v práci hovorí o SiC detektoroch na detekciu alfa, beta a gama žiarenia a taktiež o detekcii neutrónov. Druhou časťou práce je experiment. Najprv opisujem meranie voltampérovej charakteristiky detektora, zapojeného v závernom smere. Cieľom uvedenej časti experimentu bolo zistiť funkčnosť štruktúry pre účely detekcie gama žiarenia. Potom popisujem overenie spektrometrických schopností SiC štruktúry meraním spektier s použitím 241Am ako zdroja gama žiarenia.
