Title of the thesis:Electron Accelerator Dose Distribution
Summary:Thesis deals with an overview of electron accelerator applications in industry. The composition of industrial accelerator is briefly described. Further, the thesis describes parameters of a linear electron accelerator UELR-5-1S, which belongs to the University Centre of Electron Accelerators in Trenčín, a facility of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. The aim of the experiment was to study homogeneity of dose distribution when using an electron accelerator (UELR-5-1S) with scanning electron beam in one direction. Dose distribution was evaluated for direction perpendicular to direction of beam scanning in various distances from accelerator exit window and also for longitudinal direction to beam scanning. Measurement of the electron beam broadening in the air before it impinges the irradiated object will find its application by determination of the maximum width of small samples (a few centimetres) being homogenously irradiated in static mode.
