|Summary:||The strong economic, technological and social development in our days which is combined to rapid population growth and the concentration of the large urban centers are as a direct result the gradual rise in building and construction activity. The fact that it makes it particularly interesting to study the individual components that make up a building, part of which they are composed and the foundation of the ground. As we know the foundation constitutes the base on which a building or a manufacture is mounted constitutes one of the main parts of a holder organism of the structural work because on one side he achieves safeness and uniform support in ground level and on the other side his guarantee by horizontal charges such as (earthquake, wind) and from expected or unexpected territorial deformation (subsidence's) .For the above reasons it is imposed for it to be drawn and calculated suitably so that it is in position uniformly for the changes that it receives on one sufficient horizontal surface of ground so that the safety and the functionalism is achieved. The object of present work constitutes on two basic types firstly the foundation that is applied in our days and specifically the individual footings that belong in the category of surface of foundation and that belongs in the category of deep foundation. More specifically there are presented various element that concern morphology of these constructional provisions their course of resolution and calculation they required cross-sections and their feasibility analysis the advantages and disadvantages that they present are analyzed with certain cases of application while the certain examples of applications are solved. Types and the categories of spread foundation are analyzed in the thesis. Parametric study was done to analyze influence of the depth, shape and soil parameters on foundation design. Geotechnical design was calculated for two design approaches according to Eurocode 7 with different applying of partial factors (DA 2 and DA3).|
