Title of the thesis:Transport Study on Transfer Node Trnavské Myto in Bratislava
Summary:Congestion on the road network in Bratislava City requires regulatory measures for preference of alternative transport in in the city centre. Based on the analysis of the traffic load of the road network in the city centre of Bratislava in the current situation, the aim of below presented diploma thesis suggest the transport solution of the transfer node Trnavské Myto in Bratislava between respective transport modes, including park and ride garage (Park + Ride), in the context on the existing underpass for pedestrian and public transportation stops or with an alternative solution of reconnecting the public transport stops. The goal of Park and Ride design on Trnavské Mýto is to significantly reduce the traffic flow in Bratislava city centre as well as on street parking extend the pedestrian and cycle paths starting from Krížna Street. The content of below presented thesis consists of 7 chapters, where the first part is general description of a Park and Ride facility, its location and interface with alternative transportation modes. In the next chapter the study area of Bratislava is analysed, transportation modes and the current traffic situation. In third chapter the survey data analysis is outlined based on a questionnaire established for the aim of the thesis. The next section describes Trnavské Mýto as a location of the Park and Ride facility, transport sectorial analysis and is followed by detailed traffic and demand analysis which lead to obtain the number of required parking slots. Chapter 6 provides comparison of 6 proposed variants based on their location, structure and accessibility. Finally 2 design alternatives are chosen and designed. Their construction features are stated in chapter 7. The conclusion of the thesis point out the positive impact of designing a Park and Ride facility on Trnavské Mýto which helps to reduce the city centre traffic and increase the at social attractiveness of central area.
