Title of the thesis:Program for NMEA sentences processing
Summary:The NMEA standard defines an electrical interface and data protocol for communication between marine electronic devices. Data transmitted over this protocol can include information on position, altitude, speed and other variables. Computers are ideal tool for collecting and processing these data. The first part of this thesis contains analysis of the NMEA standard (chapter 2.2) and analysis of existing NMEA-compatible software tools (2.3 to 2.5). The second part is then about requirements specification (3.1) and design of application architecture (3.2), which we implement afterwards (3.3). Implemented program can analyze sentences transmitted by GPS devices - specifically sentences of type GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC and GLL. Gathered data are displayed in text form, graphics, statistics and as a route in map.
Key words:NMEA, GPS, analyzer
