Summary:Author: Martin Štepanovič Thesis: Transport protocols in wireless systems Supervisor: Ing. Peter Trúchly PhD. 2012, May This thesis deals about transport protocols in wireless networks and simulation options of transport protocols and wireless networks that in general mean wireless data networks, sensor networks and satellite networks as well. This thesis analyzes and describes basic principles and nature of wireless networks architecture and transport protocols. The thesis analyzes current solutions and existing transport protocols suitable for wireless systems focused on TCP protocol and its modifications. The paper analyzes simulation options of chosen TCP protocol modification using suitable simulation tool. In this thesis, there is designed implementation of chosen TCP protocol modification and testing scenario set for wireless networks and suitable transport protocols. The thesis also describes implementation of chosen TCP protocol modification in simulation environment and subsequently describes and evaluates simulation of modified protocol on testing scenarios sets in comparison with standard TCP protocol modifications. The results of this thesis are confronted with results of other thesis to confirm correctness. Product of this thesis is evaluation of simulation's products.
