Title of the thesis:Measuring the optical properties of biological tissues
Summary:The present work is focused on: a) a summary of theoretical knowledge on the current state of optical diagnosis of biological tissues, including the characterization of light sources and principles of optical signal detection, b) a description of the measuring facility set up for measuring absorption characteristics of tissues with a focus on the identification of hemoglobin, c) and summary discussion of the results achieved to create a workplace, namely the measured spectral absorption characteristics of biological tissue, analysis of the penetration depth of light in the wavelength dependence and measurement of tissue absorption changes at selected wavelengths in real time. The result was the detection of changes in the depth of penetration and absorption tissue finger at wavelengths 600 nm - 800 nm. These changes we can observe the exchange of finger and the direction of illumination. The absorption of hemoglobin varies between 300 nm - 1000 nm, with the maximum at wavelengths 415, 542 and 577 nm.
