Title of the thesis:Possibilities of using Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors in Automotive Industry
Summary:My thesis is dedicated to the use of Fiber Bragg Grating in the automotive industry. Firstly, I describe basic knowledge and problems of this type of sensor. Then I realize a design of FBG by coupled-mode theory. An important part of my thesis is stress analysis of designed fiber in Ansys software. There are applied pressure and tension on fiber. The conclusion of stress analysis is in accordance with literature data. The other part of the thesis is design of active suspension system using FBG sensor, specifically accelerometer. There is also mentioned all forces and torques acting on axle and on whole the car during driving. Using software like Catia and Adams there is designed moving of mentioned parts. In last chapter of the thesis there are described all parts which are important for active suspension system like sensors, actuators, communication bus and control unit
