Title of the thesis:Design of smart home in the software Matlab by using 3D MS Kinect sensor system
Summary:The aim of this thesis is to characterize smart homes and to describe the functioning of 3D sensor systems. To fulfill this goal we will examine smart homes, their historical development, as well as demographic trends that confirm merits of the existence of this technology. Another objective of this work is to understand the functioning of the software environment Matlab and subsequent draft of the intelligent environment simulation. We are going to use the 3D sensor system, MS Kinect to visualize the functioning of intelligent environment. Other features, such as sensors and 3D cameras are going to be characterized further in the thesis. It is inevitable to simulate the ambient environment in Matlab GUI before the visualization takes place. The process of this simulation can be observed in the sixth chapter of this thesis. The ultimate goal is to verify the functioning of the interconnection between MS Kinect and Matlab GUI. We are going to use the FAAST application to ensureinterconnection. The obtained results will be shown in images.
