Title of the thesis:Resistance spot welding of galvanized steel sheet by coated welding electrodes.
Summary:Not only in the automotive industry, but also in other sectors of the engineering industry is currently one of the most widespread technologies of joining galvanized steel sheet technology of resistance spot welding. Current trends in this area are to optimize production processes in order to reduce manufacturing and operating costs. When resistance spot welding of galvanized steel sheets, one of the fundamental problems is the issue of options extend the life of welding electrodes. The aim of the PhD. thesis is analyzing application of selected types of coatings and suitable combination deposited by electro-spark deposition in order to extend the life of standard used CuCrZr electrodes Class II. . The results obtained by applying the coated electrodes are in work compared with results from standard resistance welding electrodes used previously. After an initial analysis of selected types and combinations of materials suitable for the formation of the barrier layer will be subjected to a closer examination coating with the best results achieved.
