Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava; Department of Safety and Environmental Engineering - Supervisor: prof. Ing. Karol Balog, PhD - Trnava: MTF STU, 2012, p. 67 In work "Analysis of ignition sources present in the living area" I deal with the risk of fire occurring, that exist at home. First, with the help of existing fire statistics I determine ignition sources, that are at large the cause of fires in living areas in the Slovak Republic. I define and characterize the ignition sources. I have dealt with fire-technical characteristics of materials that may serve as fuel in the living areas. I have dealt with the classification of materials according to their reaction to fire, I described test methods in terms of used materials and ignition sources. I characterized the properties of frequently occurring ignition sources at home and evaluated the risk of fire from the concrete ignition source.
