Title of the thesis:Examinig the Authenticity of the Recording Means in Documents
Summary:The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the identity of recording means in documents. Stamps as one of the security features used in documents are the subject of experimental investigation. Rubber stamps are made by three manufacturing processes (1G -- original stamp made by a commercial process, 2G -- two stamps created from a master imprint of original stamp and made by commercial and laboratory techniques). The imprints are created using many variable parameters. Two main methods are used to determine the match/difference. The first method is an optical comparison of stamps using image analysis. The second one is a microscopic method, which is devoted to study the thickness of the lines of some characters in the stamp. The comparison shows very good match between 1G - 1G stamps, but very poor match between 1G - 2G stamps. We focus on chemical analysis of stamp pad inks, too. The stamp pad inks from different manufacturers are analysed by FTIR spectroscopy and XRF method. Chemical analysis showed that the stamp pad inks from different manufacturers have different composition. This finding must be considered when examining the identity of different stamps
