Title of the thesis:Overview and analysis of software programs for modeling and simulation of foundry processes
Summary:The purpose of my bachelor thesis was to characterize closer the best known model and simulation softwares used in foundry industry. The Thesis is focused on production of casts of high-speed steels which were modelated and simulated. Thesis is divided to the three parts. In the first chapter is theoretical description of CA technology, division of CAD softwares, concepts of modeling and their features. Afterwards is thesis focused on CAE technologies in which is stated their architecture, methods of calculation of analyses and the most often solved errors in simulations. At the end is described the division of foundry industry in according to production methods, classification of norms and technology of casts during the construction. In the second chapter thesis contains analyse of CAD softwares, from which are more described softwares of SolidWorks and PTC Creo in light of principe of designing, moduls and their environment. Afterwards is processed analysis of the best known simulation cast softwares, in which are more nearly described softwares – Magmasoft, ProCast and Flow-3D. In the third chapter was solved design and simulation of concrete cast. During the modeling was used software SolidWorks and during the simulation it was software ProCast. At the end of thesis are figured results from simulation.
