Title of the thesis:Showroom and office of comercial company, Michalovce - interior
Summary:The idea of submitted diploma thesis stems from the pre-diploma project based on the theme Revitalisation of old brownfield industrial building and searching for a new function of unused object. Old industrial buildng is situated in Michalovce, in the centre of old factory area that used to produce wall and floor tiles, named Kerko. Todays building is without the function and in very poor condition. The companies that are located in brownfield area are primarly interested in buying selling products in a big scale. In the pre-diploma project I was looking for a new function that would suit the local environment of the city. After a complex analysis of brownfield I decided to place a showroom and office spaces for comercial company that has logistic center in brownfield Kerko. The main interest of the company is in selling floor and wall tiles and laminate floors, so those are the main products that are located in showroom. Disposition of object is based on large industrial hall and office spaces located on three floors. In my diploma thesis I design the interior of industrial hall as showroom. The final design of showroom is not usual for the spaces of this kind. Inteior is design as microurbanism structure with nine small objects. Every object has its own function, for example virtual room, 3d design for customers and cafe. On perimeter of hall are located presentations and samples of tiles. Complex interior of showroom is designed as simple space to avoid the competition between the interior and products.
