Title of the thesis:Rotation speed measuring device
Summary:This Master Thesis focuses on measuring the angular velocity of servos, based on the signal from an shaft encoder. The aim of the Thesis is to design and construct a device for angular velocity measurement. The device should be able to measure and keep the record of gained data. I verified several methods of signal decoding from an shaft encoder. The result of my check was applied in using a hadware method for signal decoding. The designed device for angular velocity measurement is based on the M method. IRC sensor signal decoding is done by a microcontroller which uses a special counter perifery regime. The whole device is constructed on a semi-universal PCB, which makes it simple and easy to maintain. The result of the Thesis is a working measurement device that makes it possible to measure and record servo angular velocity. For the angular velocity recording, the application JAVA is used. The Thesis resulted in the construction of a low-budget measurement device that could be used for pedagogical purpose in a learning process.
