Title of the thesis:Thermal system management
Summary:The aim of my master thesis is to design and create control unit that can manage the thermal system. I have chosen controlling of radiators in different rooms in the house, using thermoelectric servo drives. I have been analyzing different types of thermal systems such as gas heating, electric heating, but also more modern solar systems. I've also explored the main types of heating systems such as standard or floor heating. Based on this detailed analysis, I have chosen already mentioned standard heating. I have designed the control unit base, which means I have designed the circuit board, selected the parts attached on it and programmed it the way so user could use it to communicate with the web interface. Thanks to this solution, the control unit is easy to use from the user's point of view, and user can also monitor the temperature history over a period of time. It can be controlled by manual or automatic mode. The control unit is expandable and can be connected with various types of sensors. It is customized to include buses UART, I2C and SPI. The value of this control unit is mainly energy savings by providing the user with a continuous overview of the temperatures in each room of the house.
