Title of the thesis:Use of Additive Technologies in Medicine
Summary:The main aim of the thesis is to provide an overview of the additive technologies which are used in production of models in medical field. The first chapter explains basic terms used in additive technologies and medicine. There are described additive technologies in general. This chapter sets out the basic terms in medical field with which may be encountered in the production of additive technologies. The second chapter is focused on the methods SLA, SLS and FDM, which are used in production of models for medical use. The chapter contains description of materials that can be used for production of medical models. There is also described selected software for biomedical engineering and devices which allows 3D digitalization of the human body. The third chapter deals with the production of model of the upper jaw using FDM method. The digital model was obtained by intraoral scanner. In this chapter is also defined digitization itself. The chapter is also focused on the description of the 3D printer, which is used to manufacture the model and also to define material which is used for the production of the model.
