Faculty of Material Science and Technology; Institute of Production Technologies – Supervisor: Ing. Ján Milde, - Trnava: MTF STU, 2017. 47 p. Key words: CAD, software, Rapid Prototyping, PowerShape, Fused Deposition Modeling, Zortrax M200. Bachelor thesis deals with design and manufacturing of selected component through CAD software PowerShape and 3D printer Zortrax M200. The main intention was to summarize and explain principles of the method Rapid Prototyping. The first chapter of bachelor thesis explains basic terms such as Rapid Prototyping, methods of Rapid Prototyping, for exaple FDM, SLS, SLA and part of this chapter also deals with issues of CAD systems. The second chapter focused on modeling component. The process of manufacturing components in 3D printer Zortrax M200 and description of software Z-Suite are presented in third chapter.
