|Title of the thesis:||Spatial arrangement of the crossroad for disabled.|
|Summary:||I have focused in my diploma thesis on removing of existing barriers from public places such as walkways, junctions, pedestrian crossings and city traffic to make movement easier and possible not only to people with disabilities but also elderly, mothers with baby buggies and all pedestrians in general. I would divide my work into four main parts. In the first part I introduce the basic issue of removing of existing barriers, I describe the current state of technical requirements and I define the most important concepts which were used in my thesis. The second part focuses on realization and evaluation of the public survey which helped me find out more problematic places in the city. In the third part I state all the current problems which should be solved according to technical requirements. In last part I offer various solutions to current problematic areas in the city. During my work I found out, solving of this specific issue is often ignored by authorities and I hope that this work may perhaps bring a positive impulse for implementation of new projects.|
