Title of the thesis:
Application of multicomponent fillers in rubber blends
Summary:The submitted dissertation work is focused on application of multi-component fillers in rubber blends which are composed with application of non-traditional materials, as collagen hydrolysate, starch and lignin. The combinations of the non-traditional fillers with commercial types of fillers (silica, carbon black) were studied in blends, on the basis of natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber. The effects of relative ratios of applied fillers were investigated. Effect on vulcanization characteristics, network density, dynamical-mechanical and mechanical properties of vulcanizates was described. The scanning electron microscopy was used for morphology study of vulcanizates The results have proved that the final physical-mechanical and dynamic-mechanical properties can be modelled by relative ratios of applied fillers and their total content in the blend. The findings can possibly allow for preparing vulcanizates for a wide spectrum of applications.
