Basic information

Type of work: Dissertation thesis
Title of topic in English: Unravelling the role of newly identified post-translational modifications of proteins involved in processes of maintenance of genome integrity
State of topic: approved (prof. Ing. Albert Breier, DrSc. - Chairperson of Departmental Board)
Thesis supervisor: Ing. Ľuboš Čipák, PhD.
Faculty: Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology
Supervising department: Institute of Biochemistry and Microbiology - FCFT
Max. no. of students: 1
Academic year:2019/2020
Proposed by: Ing. Ľuboš Čipák, PhD.
External educational institution: Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences
Annotation in English: The aim will be to characterize the regulatory role of newly identified post-translational modifications of proteins required for maintenance of genome stability. By using state-of-the-arts techniques, including mass spectrometry and fluorescence microscopy and by analysis the sensitivity of cells to DNA damage we will characterize the biological role of newly identified post-translational modifications on functionality of proteins involved in DNA repair.
