Annotation: Problémom historických artefaktov na báze železa je silná vrstva hrdze, obsahujúca množstvo viazaných solí. Tieto soli zostávajú vo vrstve a vytvárajú na povrchu artefaktu belavé škvrny, ktoré znehodnocujú vzhľad historického artefaktu. Témou práce je stabilizácia povrchových vrstiev s testovaním viacerých typov inhibítorov. Materiál sa charakterizuje dostupnými metódami (SEM, XRD, EDX, IR) a následne sa bude sledovať inhibičná účinnosť použitých inhibítorov. Inhibičná účinnosť sa určí na základe gravimetrických a elektrochemických meraní. Práca sa realizuje v spolupráci s Archeologickým ústavom SAV v Nitre.
Annotation in English: Strong layer of rust presents the problem of historical iron artefacts. The rust contains great amount of salts which stay in the rust layer and promote the formation of the white spots degrading the appearance of the historical artefact. The work is aimed on the surface layer stabilization testing different types of the inhibitors during cleaning process. The inhibition activity of the applied inhibitors is determined gravimetrically and by potentiodynamic polarization. The artefacts are characterised using SEM, EDX, XRD and IR methods. The project is realised with co-operation of Archaeological Institute of SAS Nitra.
