Annotation: Postupné vyčerpávanie prírodných zdrojov vedie k progresívnemu výskumu mikroorganizmov ako suroviny pre biopriemysel. Izolujú a skúmajú sa mikroorganizmy, medzi nimi aj kvasinky, osídľujúce rôzne prostredia a hľadajú sa aj nové druhy, ktoré majú zaujímavé vlastnosti. Mikroorganizmy majú aj dôležitú úlohu v prírode. Kvasinky sa vyskytujú v pomerne veľkej miere na fylosfére rastlín, ale stále sa málo vie o ich druhovom zastúpení, úlohách a funkciách, ktoré v tomto prostredí majú. Dizertačná práca sa bude zaoberať diverzitou, vlastnosťami a aktivitami kvasinkových spoločenstiev osídľujúcich rôzne druhy kvitnúcich rastlín a tráv.
Annotation in English: A gradual depletion of natural sources leads to the progressive research on utilization of microorganisms as a raw material in bioindustry. Microorganisms, among them yeasts, which inhabit various environments, as well as new species with promising properties have been extensively studied. Moreover, microorganisms also play an important role in natural communities. Yeasts are commonly associated with the phylosphere of plants, however, the knowledge on their diversity, roles and functions in this environment has been still limited. The thesis will focus on the diversity, properties and activities of yeast communities which inhabit various flowering plants and grasses.
