Annotation: Polyfenolické stilbény - resveratrol a piceatannol sú prírodné látky s terapeutickým potenciálom voči rozličným chorobám ako rakovina, diabetes alebo srdcovo-cievne ochorenia. Dizertačná práca sa bude zaoberať prípravou rôznych derivátov polyfenolických stilbénov – glykozylovaných pyranózami alebo furanózami, substituovaných fluórom alebo chlórom a acylovaných fenolickými alebo alifatickými kyselinami. V práci sa budú využívať a vyvíjať syntetické postupy organickej chémie v kombinácii s metódami biokatalýzy. Cieľové produkty budú poskytnuté spolupracujúcim pracoviskám na testovanie protirakovinových a protivírusových učinkov.
Annotation in English: Polyphenolic stilbenes – resveratrol and piceatannol - are natural compounds possessing therapeutic potential against various diseases including cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. The thesis will focus on the preparation of different derivatives of polyphenolic stilbenes – glycosylated by pyranoses or furanoses, substituted by fluorine or chlorine and acylated by phenolic or aliphatic acids. The synthetic procedures typical for organic chemistry will be developed and used in combination with methods of biocatalysis. The target products will be provided to the cooperating institutions for testing of their anticancer and antiviral activities.
