Annotation: V súčasnosti rapídne narastá objem heterogénnych dát z distribuovaných zdrojov, čím vznikajú výzvy pre extrahovanie z nich hodnotné znalosti. Takými aplikáciami môžu byť modelovanie, simulácia, rozpoznávanie obrazov, vizualizácia a podobne v rôznych oblastiach ako sú napr. biomedicína, astrofyzika, životné prostredie, aeronautika, automobilový priemysel, energetika, materiálové vedy. Vzhľadom na veľkosť dát, ktoré sú často označované ako veľké, resp. extrémne, je potrebné navrhnúť metodológiu, robustné metódy a nástroje pre extrémne škálovateľnú analytiku v súčinnosti s distribuovanými architektúrami pre zber a manažovanie obrovského množstva dát akými sú Cloud technológie a IoT. Dizertačný projekt bude zameraný na analýzu, návrh metodológie, metód a algoritmov pre spracovanie veľkých dát pre vybrané aplikácie, ktoré sú v súčasnosti riešené na ÚI SAV. Súčasťou dizertačného projektu bude aj výskum a vývoj vhodných nástrojov a služieb pre distribuované spracovanie metód a algoritmov.
Annotation in English: Rapidly increasing volumes of diverse data from distributed sources create challenges for extracting valuable knowledge. Such applications can be considered modelling, simulation, pattern recognition, visualization, etc. in different areas as e.g. biomedicine, astrophysics, environmental sciences, aeronautics, automotive, energy, material sciences. Due to the size of the data, which are often referred to as large, extreme, it is necessary to design a methodology, robust methods and tools for extreme-scale analytics in synergy with distributed architectures for collecting and managing vast amounts of data such as Cloud Technologies and IoT. The dissertation project will be focused on the analysis, design of methodology, methods and algorithms for processing of large data for selected applications, which are currently solved at UI SAV. The research project will also include research and development of appropriate tools and services for distributed processing of methods and algorithms.
