Annotation in English: The topic of this dissertation is based on a research project aimed at identifying the most important innovations in the architecture of the 20th century in Slovakia. Specifies the persons who created these innovations in Slovakia, respectively those who transferred them to Slovak conditions. Research will focus on clarifying the functioning of the mechanism that shifts innovation from its origin, through its implementation to its social appropriation. In model situations, it will identify how the selected innovations have arisen, how they have been pursued in domestic and wider international environments. It will points to the role of the personality of the innovator, but also to the role of the social group or institution that participated in the application and expansion of innovation. Increased attention will be paid to those innovations that are considered to be the most significant and formative in assessing the architecture and urbanism of the 20th century.
