Summary: Cieľom práce je prípraviť a integrovať kazetu, ktorá zabezpečí expresiu génu FADX pochádzajúceho z grantátovníka v kvasinke Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Heterológna expresia FADX zabezpečí syntézu biotechnologicky významnej mastnej kyseliny, kyseliny punikovej, v kvasnike S. pombe. Získaný produkčný kmeň prispeje k identifikácii faktorov potrebných pre nadprodukciu tejto kyseliny v jednobunkových organizmoch. Aim of the study is to prepare and integrate cassette responsible for expression of FADX gene originated from pomegranate in the yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Heterologous expression of FADX is needed for synthesis of biotechnologically valuable fatty acid, punicic acid, in yeast S. pombe. Constructed production strain will help to identify the factors which are necessary for its overproduction in unicellular organisms.
