Topic specifications:The goal of the thesis is to design and develop algorithm for automated positioning of the photodetector/ solar cell sample and measurement of the photovoltage/photocurrent generated by a focused optical beam.

1. Study the literature dedicated to mapping of the photoresponse of photodetectors and solar cells by a focused optical beam.
2. Design and develop softvare for automated positioning of the photodetector in X-Y direction, forming either linescan or 2D raster using two plates positioned by DC motors with incremental sensors.
3. Develop software for automated measurement of the linescan or 2D map of photodetector photocurrent or photovoltage.
4. Demonstrate unctionality of the system.
