Topic specifications:Non traditional usage of APC for control of complex of tanks at BCDU6 Slovnaft Plc. There are two reflux drums, from which liquid is routed to surge drum. Liquid in surge drum is a feed for a next column. Inlet flows to reflux drum are disturbances and they fluctuate remarkably. Fluctuation is transferred to column feed and this disturbs operation of all columns after and thus product quality deteriorates. Aim of control is to use capacity of these drums to stabilise feed from surge drum as much as possible. Improve existing traditional flow/level controllers using MIMO APC strategy.

Tasks:
1. Create dynamic model of controlled system using MATLAB.
2. Test basic strategies MATLAB simulation.
3. Setup APC controller using Profit Suite.
4. Implement APC to control given tank system at BCDU6 at Slovnaft Plc.
