|Project description:||In response to the topic trend , which is in the frame of the European Union marked with a deepening internationalization of higher education, Faculty of Civil Engineering of TU has developed a few years ago curriculum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field Stavebnictvo.Program has been successfully accredited and implemented at the faculty for several years. Dozens of students have graduated the faculty in this program, mostly from abroad, but also from Slovakia. The entire program is taught in English. Despite the fact that in the civil enginnering branch there are many resources of the suitable English literature, especially abroad, we struggle especially with the problems that often the content of different subjects of study is often otherwise regrouped than in Anglo-Saxon universities, so as a result we must either prescribe students for one subject more (often not readily available) textbooks, or prepare the partial teaching texts mainly in the form of leaflets. Therefore, starting from our past experience and practical training in this program we decided to prepare for supporting the subj ects taught by Department of Structural Mechanics complete compact textbooks drafted in English, answering syllabi of courses of study, which will be supported by tools of self-study in e-learning environment. Our goal is to develop two separate books. Content of the first is one of the main subjects of study within that program - Theory of elasticity, the content of the other downstream core subject - Structural Mechanics. Although the content of the textbooks cited study program match, will be certainly also applicable to other universities in the related programs taught in English. Textbooks beside the compact theoretical justification will content a set of solved problems as well as sets of problems to deal with in a separate study specifying the key results as well as the possibility of progress in addressing the interactive computer tools by the e-learning.|
