Project description:Snap-through effect i.e. sudden change of buckling surface is unpleasant phenomenon in behaviour of thin-walled structures. Geometric non-linear theory must be used for description of behaviour of thin-walled structures. In geometric non-linear solution we have more results. Snap-through effect can be explained as jump between branches of solution. It can be smooth but mostly this effect is sudden and accompanied with big noise. Subject of the offered project is increasing of knowledge in behaviour of thin-walled structures with focus on possibility of occurring of snap-through effect. Present computer software does not solve dynamic post-buckling behaviour of thin-walled structures and researches are forced to prepare own computer programs. Obtained theoretical and numerical results will be compared with results from experimental investigation.
